Starting my business wasn’t an overnight success—it was the result of years of exploration, learning, and a lot of trial and error. While it might look like everything fell into place from day one, the truth is, my entrepreneurial journey began long before my business officially launched.
It all started back in 2012, during my travel blogging days. That’s when I first became captivated by the idea of building a life that didn’t conform to the traditional path of success I had been taught: graduate high school, go to college, get a stable 9-to-5 job, buy a house, and call that “success.” Deep down, I knew that path wasn’t for me.
Over the years, I immersed myself in learning about entrepreneurship through influencers, books, and podcasts. Watching social media take off, I was inspired by people living unconventional lives. Instead of envying their freedom, I asked myself, Why not me? That mindset shift changed everything, leading me to explore various side hustles—travel blogging, yoga instruction, motherhood coaching, and running a crystal shop.
After a decade, two babies, and a move to a new city, I hit a breaking point juggling a corporate job, a side hustle, and my family. That’s when I decided to go all in on building my own business. The common thread across all my ventures was creating websites, a skill I’d taught myself. When friends began asking for help with their websites, I realized I had something I could monetize. I launched my business with a simple landing page and a Facebook post announcing my two weeks’ notice. Within hours, I had 30 inquiries, and my business officially took off.
From there, I built the foundation of my business—designing my website, refining my messaging, and setting up systems. It wasn’t perfect, but I started and adjusted as I went. Within two years, I was fully booked, earned the Best of South Carolina for the Website Design category in 2024 , and was invited to speak at events and appear on podcasts.
After investing in a coaching program for myself, I quickly discovered I had a passion for teaching other women how to monetize their skills to support themselves and their family. Alongside taking on website clients, I started my own group coaching program which filled up every time I launched it. I created an approachable and effective framework to teach aspiring entrepreneurs how to quickly identify and monetize their skills, grow their audience, attract their dream clients, and scale their business.
I'm now passionate about teaching women how to work less and earn more money in the process. I believe we are at the brink of a work revolution where women, and mothers especially, are waking up to the fact that they can ditch hustle culture and achieve a balance of ease and prosperity.
